We live within just a couple of hours of some very historic sites. The place where Luther began the Protestant Revolution, or where Bach did most of his composing. But, yesterday we decided to make the journey there a bigger deal than just a short ride in the car. So, in sub-freezing weather the whole day, we spent 6 hours on trains.

Wittenberg, where Luther peformed the most historic of hammering...

In Leipzig, we went in the Thomas Church, and they were playing some classic Bach on the little organ...

Christmas 2008
The kids enjoyed opening presents. Imagine that!

Something similar to sea monkeys, translated to prehistoric crabs. You "grow" them in a small aquarium.
Jon's new t-shirt that says Dresden, Germany

Dresden is a winter wonderland:

The boys got to build a snowman...of sorts.

Our backyard, if you click you might see a little of our tree in the window.

Some shots around the block from our house.

Out at the big park downtown. The ducks had made trails through the ice on the pond.

The Christmas Market.

An early attempt at that snowman.
