Some random pictures from our time in the mountains near the border of Germany and the Czech Republic. We had a great time, the kids had VBS and the adults had a teaming workshop called Grip-Birkman.

Not pics of the kids or us this time, just some shots of Berlin. Berlin was just ranked in the top ten cities to live in, behind such cities as Barcelona, London, and CHICAGO (at number one?!?!?!?) by some magazine out there. (Probably based in Chicago.) I definitely like Berlin a lot. I would live there in a heartbeat if I didn't already live in one of the cities I rank higher than Berlin on my pesonal list.
Here we have the pride and joy of GDR Architecture:

And again below. The juxtaposition between 1960s Soviet style and 1700s Neoclassicism is interesting:

Berliner Dom: (Lutheran) Not quite as beautiful as Dresden's Frauenkirche, but pretty darn close:

Berlin's Catholic Cathedral. Maybe the most unusual one I've seen:

The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe:

Potsdamerplatz: There is a Film Museum here that I have to check out, especially before May 10th since they have a temporary exhibit on Hitchcock.
